7pm (Online Zoom meeting)
According to entirely un-scientific poll results that we just made up, just over 117% of all people check out churches online before they ever walk through the sanctuary door. But really, websites are the primary way for churches today to communicate, connect, and invite people into a faith community. Not having a website today is like not having a phone.
The problem is that most of us are intimidated by idea of developing and maintaining websites for our church communities. That’s why we hired Alicia as a summer student with the Region. Alicia helped to develop a simple, very inexpensive, standardized Worspress template for church websites. We want to show it to you.
So, for the first part of the evening, we’ll talk about general tips & suggestions for church websites. What needs to be there, what people are looking for, and a few common mistakes to be avoided.
The second part will be an introduction to the pilot project Living Skies Church Website Template. It’s already up and running for a few guinea pig communities of faith in the Region. We’ll walk through an overview, and hopefully answer questions for other congregations interested in using it to set up their own website.
