Please read and share this message from longtime Living Skies/ SK Conference partners, and have a look at the bulletin insert they ask us to share.

CoSA South Saskatchewan in Regina, The Micah Mission in Saskatoon and Parkland Restorative Justice in Prince Albert are three church based Restorative Justice agencies in Saskatchewan. Hopefully you’ve heard about at least one of them! Through your Mission and Service givings, Living Skies Regional Council is able to offer some financial support to Micah Mission and Parkland Restorative Justice. And United Church members often serve on our boards.

CoSA South Saskatchewan, Micah Mission and Parkland Restorative Justice partner with Living Skies Regional Council and are the agencies which provide the Person to Person (P2P) and CoSA programs in Saskatchewan. Each of these agencies offers Circles of Support and Accountability to help those who have offended sexually to not re-offend. Together, our mantra is “No More Victims.”
Since April of 2017, the CoSA programs of these agencies have been funded in part through a CoSA National Capacity Project of the Ministry of Public Safety and administered through the CoSA Canada office in Ottawa. This project and the funding conclude at the end of March 2022.

In anticipation of this, these agencies have been seeking to determine how to continue funding the program and to not lose any of our valuable staff. We are also exploring how the three agencies might partner together in applying for sustainable, ongoing funding to keep these programs alive. This notice is to make you aware of this fact and to invite your prayers, your gifts, your action.

What can you do?

Please keep these agencies in your prayers!
