Workshop: Engaging with Children in Worship
Whatever your congregation calls it, many worship services include a moment when children are invited to gather at the front of the sanctuary. They settle onto the stairs, a special quilt, or the floor, look up at you expectantly… and then what?
Join Rev. Lindsay Mohn and Rev. Sarah Giles for a practical and engaging workshop on making the most of this unique time in worship. Together, we’ll explore ways to connect meaningfully with children, share stories of God’s love and welcome for all people, and create moments that are authentic rather than performative. We’ll discuss common challenges, offer simple tools and approaches, and encourage one another in the sacred work of engaging children as full participants in the life of the church.
