Unmarked Graves Reading Group

Our next Zoom meeting for the Unmarked graves Reading Group will be on Tuesday Sept 30 at 6:30 pm CST (Saskatchewan). We’re focusing this time on pages 149-175 of the executive summary – please read before the meeting. We will begin with a time of reading short excerpts which have touched us, with silence before we begin.

We intend to read and reflect on the Special Interlocutor’s Final Report, starting with the Executive Summary, in order to learn more about the missing and disappeared Indigenous children who never came home from IRS institutions. We want to learn about the Interlocutor’s recommendations on “identifying obligations that must be met to implement an Indigenous-led Reparations Framework for truth, accountability, justice and reconciliation.” Anyone is welcome to join via Zoom.
