Please join us for a Saturday afternoon of Christmas music, winter stories, and laughter followed by coffee, tea, and cookies!
Jay and Danica have joined forces to bring decades of experience, laughter, songs both familiar and new, and sweet harmonies to the stage. They are working on their first collaborative album and performing together throughout Saskatchewan. What happens when a Canadian musical icon and a nationally renowned storyteller join forces? Musical magic and tales to touch the heart!
Jay Semko of Canadian rock icons The Northern Pikes, music composer for the beloved classic Canadian TV series Due South, and award-winning singer/songwriter and poet with 9 solo albums released, has joined with Danica Lorer, nationally celebrated storyteller who has shared her stories and songs across Canada. Danica is a published poet, writer and visual artist, radiant survivor of a lightning strike and collisions with a moose and rogue semi-tire, and singer/songwriter who composes and performs songs for young and old alike.
In concert their smiles and songs are infectious – warm acoustic guitar with luscious harmony vocals, soul-stirring stories invoking laughter, tears, and everything in between, and a sense of unique oneness with the audience that once experienced will never be forgotten.
Jay and Danica’s musical repertoire includes songs of The Northern Pikes, Jay’s solo catalogue, original compositions from Danica’s live storytelling performances, songs from the new soon-to-be-released Jay and Danica album, and well-loved classics covered in a unique “Jay & Danica” style.
Tickets are $25 at the door (and including cookie reception afterwards).
