Please join our Regional Council’s Just Peace group and Mennonite Central Committee SK for this important conversation. Gaza’s people are dying of imposed hunger and thirst. Its medical system is targeted for destruction, and people of all ages suffer continuous bombing. We’ll learn about why aid isn’t getting through, the terrible impact, and what Canadians can do through our donations and advocacy- because we can do something. Please come out and learn alongside our generous resource people.
Resource people from aid groups will guide us through the conversation and respond to questions, including SK’s Dr Deidre Nunan, an orthopaedic surgeon who has served in Palestine multiple times since October 2023. Victoria Alexander, Gaza advocacy lead with MCC’s United Nations office, will also be joining us to bring her aid expertise; others TBC.
