Youth Delegates to General Council Youth Forum (GC 44)

A total of four youth, ages 15-18, will be selected to represent Living Skies Region at GC 44 in Calgary.
Youth Delegates to GC Youth Forum
Four youth will be selected as Delegates to General Council Youth Forum. All youth will attend a Winter Retreat at Five Oaks Centre, Ontario in February 2021 to prepare them for GC 44 Youth Forum.
Youth Pilgrim Position
One of these youth will be selected for the Youth Pilgrim program of GC, consisting of youth representatives from all Regions of the United Church of Canada. This is a paid summer employment position beginning July 12, 2021.
The Youth Pilgrim position responsibilities include:
- Attend Winter Retreat at Five Oaks Centre in February 2021.
- Serve as Delegate to CG 44 Youth Forum.
- Serve as Commissioner to GC44 from Living Skies Region.
- Participate in UCC Pilgrim program, visiting UCC ministries and communities of faith throughout the country. For more information, visit https://www.united-church.ca/stories/youth-pilgrims.
YAYAC will work with the Nominations Committee and take the lead in organizing the application process and selection of the four youth from Living Skies Region. Youth Delegates and the Youth Pilgrim/Commissioner will be selected by November 30, 2020.
