As our camping ministries move into intense preparation for another summer of camping community, here are some updates and a reminder.

Living Skies closes partnership with Camp Christopher

Living Skies Regional Council wishes to share with regret that we are no longer in a shared ministry agreement with the Presbyterian Synod of Saskatchewan regarding Camp Christopher. This marks the end of a long and meaningful partnership, as we no longer have the resources to participate at the governance level as we once did. However, individuals and communities of faith are still warmly encouraged to support the camp, send campers, or volunteer.

We give thanks for the many years of shared ministry and the lasting impact this partnership has had on generations of campers, staff, and volunteers.

Living Skies camping ministries, and Camping Sunday April 27

Living Skies continues to support Camps Tapawingo, Lumsden Beach, Woodboia, and Shagabec, in addition to a partnership with Wellman Lake Camp in Manitoba. See our main Camps page, here.

Relative to other Regional Councils, this is a high number of camps, and your support of time, skill, and funding is deeply appreciated.  Please keep our camps, their staff, and volunteers in your prayers as they enter intense preparation for summer at a time when finding enough summer staff with the right skills can be difficult. Help them out by sharing their job postings (see their websites and social media). And support them further by highlighting their vital ministry on Camping Sunday, April 27.
