Thanks SO MUCH to everyone who came to Lumsden Beach Camp this past weekend to join in our first ever Camp-A-Palooza.
The event was planned by the YAYAC staff (Lindsay and Josie) in conjunction with our new Regional Camps Liaison, Rod Leuty. 14 camp representatives (staff, directors, and board members) attended from Lumsden Beach, Camp Christopher, and Camp Shagabec. The event was very well received, with great discussions happening throughout the day around programming, camp structures, accreditation, volunteer recruitment, and many other camp related topics.
Plans were made for the camps to continue to share resources and ideas remotely, and everyone agreed that it would be great to hold a similar event next year as well. We are really grateful for those that attended and shared their ideas and expertise!
