Originally, the mission of the UCC Hospital Chaplaincies was to provide support for patients from United Church congregations outside of our major cities. Over time however, the role has evolved to also include Spiritual Care for many patients & families who may not be comfortable with other denominational chaplains. As examples, this may include circumstances related to: LGBTQ+, Medical Assistance in Dying, etc.
