Singing Our Way through the United Church History with Hymns – 100th Anniversary Celebration

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Saltcoats United Church on Sunday May 4th when we sing our way through the story of The United Church of Canada as told in the hymns we sing and the hymns we, and others, have sung. Walter Farquharson, retired minister, hymnwriter, and educator, will provide some history of hymn singing over 2000 years but mostly we will sing, or listen to others sing, some great hymns. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. There will be an intermission and social time with refreshments. We will move into the second part of the presentation and singing and then everything will wrap up at 9:00 p.m. We are excited about participants who will be offering their gifts of music in solo or group!
No admission charge. An offering box will be available. Any money given will support the Saltcoats United Church Re-shingling Project. Receipt will be given to anyone requesting one.
Everyone is welcome. No requirement to show United Church credentials! Plan to be part of this, and please pass the word to family and friends.
