DESCRIPTION:River Bend Integrated Community Ministries (ICM) has launched its first ever PAR fundraising campaign! Become an ICM Bridge Builder – Donate today!\nICM\, a United Church of Canada social justice ministry\, operates in the heart of Saskatoon’s west side core. Everyday\, ICM offers assistance to vulnerable Saskatoon residents who may need help finding resources or navigating the complexities of accessing social programs\, housing supports\, mental health and addictions treatment\, etc. They also host community-led initiatives such as Chop & Chat\, a free\, weekly\, emergency hot lunch program; and The Sharing Circle\, a gathering led by traditional Metis and First Nation Elders that supports Indigenous mental health in culturally-supportive ways. SUMMARY:Free Naloxone Training Hosted by River Bend ICM and Prairie Harm Reduction
DESCRIPTION:As requested by our core community\, ICM is responding to harm reduction needs in our neighbourhood. There has been an increased presence of substance use and homelessness which has prompted this education event.\nPrairie Harm Reduction (PHR) will do in-person training around Service navigation\, harm reduction and Naloxone training. The number of participants allowed within protocols is 10 and each participant will receive a naloxone kit to take home.\nMasks\, water and hand sanitizer will be available.\nWe have a limited number of spots open as we are following public health protocols very closely.
