DESCRIPTION:In this online retreat\, we will explore the Spiral of Call that visits us again and again over the course of our lives\, and reflect creatively on the components of identity\, purpose in life\, and unique gifts\, as well as the patterns of change that accompany the Spiral of Call. Each day will begin at 1 pm with an introduction to the material via zoom\, followed by a couple of hours for you to go off to reflect and create. The last 30-45 minutes will be spent back on zoom for a time of sharing that will wrap up by 5 pm.

SUMMARY:Stand by Me: Palestinian Children and Military Detention – A workshop
DESCRIPTION:Palestinian families live in constant awareness that Israeli soldiers could invade their house at any hour of the day or night and take a child away – often for arbitrary reasons and for an unknown length of time. Every year an average of 700 Palestinian children are arrested\, mistreated\, detained and prosecuted in Israel’s military court system. According Defense for Children International Palestine (a United Church partner in mission). Israel is the only country in the world that systematically prosecutes children in military courts. To learn more about the day-to-day reality of the children and their families\, plan to join this 90-minute online workshop.
