DESCRIPTION:YOU love camp.  WE love camp.  And we really love it when we all get together! \nIt’s time for Camp-A-Palooza 2024\, and this year we’re making the trek to Camp Shagabec down in the gorgeous Cypress Hills.  If you’ve never been there before\, you are in for a real treat! Camp Shagabec has some really unique traditions and a site like no other\, and the use of their space is absolutely incredible. \nWe’ll gather on Saturday at 1 pm and spend the afternoon discussing the things that YOU would find helpful to launch the 2024 season.  We’ll figure out ways to collaborate and support each other\, whether it’s program resources\, funding ideas\, governance models\, social media and communications… everything is on the table! \nSaturday evening we’ll have supper together and then try and squeeze in some of our favourite parts of camp into one evening – campfire\, songs\, skits\, games… you name it. \nIf you’d like to stay overnight\, there are lots of beds available – just indicate on the registration form and don’t forget your sleeping bag. \nSunday morning we’ll get up and have breakfast together and then head back to our own corners of the province to bring all our new ideas and excitement back to our own camps! \nTo register: https://form.jotform.com/240815350590251 \n– Lindsay & Meghan (YAYAC Staff) \n

DESCRIPTION:The Saskatchewan United Church Women’s Gathering is open for all women of The United Church of Canada and will be held Saturday\, April 27\, 2024 at St. David’s Trinity United Church (3318 Merritt Street\, Saskatoon).    Here is an updated poster. \nOur guests are the Rt. Rev. Jordan Cantwell\, former Moderator of the United Church and the Growth Animator for the Prairies and Carolle Dallas-Arbuckle\, Representing our National UCW. \nTheme: Growing Spiritually based on Scripture: Mark 1:29 – 39.  This is from verse 34: “And he healed many who were sick with various diseases; and cast out many demons.   And He would not permit the demons to speak\, because they knew Him.” \nRegistration:  9:00 am. with the Programme to follow at 9:45 a.m. (note time change).  Cost: $30 (includes coffee and lunch).   Registration deadline: April 19\, 2024.   Here is the registration form. DESCRIPTION:Film & Faith is an opportunity to watch a movie and have discussion afterward about the spiritual themes experienced or observed in the film.  We meet the last Friday of each month and are presently back to attending the theatres\, although some months we stream a movie at the church if the theatre selection is limited. \nWe often vote on your preferred movie in the poll on our Facebook event page.  The movie with the most votes\, if it is playing come movie time will be selected.  Suggestions welcome. \nThis event is pay what you can.  We buy the tickets and you pay us if you can.  RSVP by texting the word ‘Film’ to 306-517-6797 or by e-mail: russell.eastside@gmail.com.

DESCRIPTION:It’s time for another YAYAC Retreat! \nJoin us in Regina April 26-28 for a weekend of faith and spirituality\, games and laughter\, and a chance to talk about the stuff that’s going on in YOUR world.  There will be opportunities for fun\, loud exuberance\, as well as quiet reflection\, creativity and conversation. \nThe good folks of Knox-Metropolitan United Church in Regina have graciously agreed to host us\, and we’ll be pulling up a chunk of comfy church floor to sleep on for a couple of nights.  We’ll send a more detailed packing list closer to the event\, but you’ll need warm clothes and a sleeping bag and mat! \nThe cost is $50\, but as always if money is an issue we have some sponsorships available – just let us know in your registration. \nCome with a group of friends\, or come and meet some new ones!
