Become an ICM Bridge Builder – Donate today!\nICM\, a United Church of Canada social justice ministry\, operates in the heart of Saskatoon’s west side core. Everyday\, ICM offers assistance to vulnerable Saskatoon residents who may need help finding resources or navigating the complexities of accessing social programs\, housing supports\, mental health and addictions treatment\, etc. They also host community-led initiatives such as Chop & Chat\, a free\, weekly\, emergency hot lunch program; and The Sharing Circle\, a gathering led by traditional Metis and First Nation Elders that supports Indigenous mental health in culturally-supportive ways. SUMMARY:Singing Our Way through the United Church History with Hymns – 100th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Please mark your calendars and plan to join us at Saltcoats United Church on Sunday May 4th when we sing our way through the story of The United Church of Canada as told in the hymns we sing and the hymns we\, and others\, have sung. Walter Farquharson\, retired minister\, hymnwriter\, and educator\, will provide some history of hymn singing over 2000 years but mostly we will sing\, or listen to others sing\, some great hymns. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. There will be an intermission and social time with refreshments. We will move into the second part of the presentation and singing and then everything will wrap up at 9:00 p.m. We are excited about participants who will be offering their gifts of music in solo or group!\nNo admission charge. An offering box will be available. Any money given will support the Saltcoats United Church Re-shingling Project. Receipt will be given to anyone requesting one.\nEveryone is welcome. No requirement to show United Church credentials! Plan to be part of this\, and please pass the word to family and friends.
